high school, Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational
or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or
technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Carpenter
Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd
Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Carpenter Red Seal Endorsement
Experience: 3 - 5 years
Languages: Speak English
Major Work Area: Construction
Area of Specialization: General carpentry, Rough carpentry
Specific Skills: Determine
specifications and calculate requirements, Prepare layouts, Measure,
cut, shape, assemble and join mouldings, wood materials, drywall and
plastics materials, Build foundations, Build walls and install
partitions, Install shoring, Operate power tools
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Continuous learning
