Millwright (JOURNEYMAN TICKETED)
  Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift
  Salary: $28.00 to $32.00 Hourly for 48 hours per week
  Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
Experience: 6 - 9 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Machinery installation, Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul
Area of Specialization: Assembling machinery and equipment, Installing machinery and equipment, Adjusting machinery and equipment, Start-up and testing, Rigging and handling, Troubleshooting, Centering and setting to elevation, Bearing, seals and packing, Stainless steel welding, Levelling and aligning, Laser aligning
Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Manufacturing
Type of Machinery or Equipment: Conveyors, Pumps and compressors, Hoists and other lifting devices, Welding equipment, Heat exchangers, Automated and robotics systems, Electrical and electronic controls, Lathes and other machining tools, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, High speed packaging equipment
Welding Techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Install machinery and mechanical equipment, Repair or replace defective machinery parts, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, Assemble machinery prior to installation
Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices, Supervise other workers
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
Work Site Environment: Noisy
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence
