Education: Some high school, Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate
Experience: 6 - 9 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Paver
Type of Work Experience: Asphalt finishing
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Road construction
Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
Other Information: Paver operator required for busy season of road construction. Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a determination to do quality work. Able to sleep at home every night as majority of work within City of Edmonton.
